From The Campground
McFarlane Park is a 150-acre park located in Black Hawk County, IA. The park features heavily timbered rolling topography with terraces and floodplains, providing shade for park visitors and habitat for wildlife. The park offers over two miles of walking trails, a newly built wetland surrounded by prairie, and is located adjacent to the popular Cedar Valley Nature Trail. The park also features a modern restroom and shower house, an efficiency cabin, large open shelter, playground, basketball, volleyball, and horseshoes. There are 64 electrical campsites in the main campground, 28 of which are reservable, and a group campground. The park is open from 6am to 10:30pm, and the campgrounds close on December 1st and will reopen when weather permits in the spring.
