From The Campground
Little River Recreation Area is a 2,200-acre park managed jointly by the Decatur County Conservation Board and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. The park offers a variety of activities including camping, picnicking, archery, cross country skiing, hiking, and swimming. Little River Lake, which covers 787 acres, is perfect for fishing, waterfowl hunting, and pleasure boating. The surrounding area provides excellent deer, turkey, and upland game hunting. The park has 30 campsites, 16 of which are RV sites with electricity, and 14 are tent sites. Potable water is available at all sites, and a shower house with modern restrooms is located in the campground. The park also has log-style rental cabins, picnic sites, and a shelter that can be reserved for a small fee.
