Emmerson Bay is a great campground located in West Okoboji, Iowa. It offers spacious, well-maintained campsites with fire rings and picnic tables, as well as clean bathrooms and showers. It is close to many amenities and the Great Lakes bike trail, and is a perfect home base to explore all that Okoboji has to offer. There are a few docks available for boating, fishing or lake gazing, and a boat ramp is located just 100 yards away. The lakefront sites offer stunning views, and the park is quiet overall. Dogs are welcome, but must be attended at all times, and Boji Bark offers doggie daycare. There is plenty of fun for kids to bike, swim, and fish, and the park is full during the peak seasons, so book your trip in advance.

Emerson Bay State Recreation is a popular campground located in the Iowa Great Lakes Region. The campground is shaded and features paved roads, playground equipment, boat ramps, modern restroom and shower facilities, as well as a sewage dump station. All sites offer 50 amp electric services and several feature sewer and water hook-ups as well. The beach provides a fine place for young and old to sunbathe and splash in the crystal clear water of West Okoboji. The campground is located near the Iowa Great Lakes Bike Trail System and is only one mile from the Barney Peterson Nature Trail at Gull Point State Park. The unique setting of beautiful clear East and West Okoboji Lakes, Big Spirit Lake and other water bodies truly provide wonderful opportunities for outdoor recreation.
