Poe Hollow Park is a 72-acre park located just 2 miles east of Mount Ayr, Iowa. This scenic oak hickory timber connects to the Ringgold Trailway through extensive trail systems and offers many wildlife viewing opportunities. Visitors will be delighted with the many amenities of this area including a campground, modern playground, 3 shelter houses, 2 restrooms, and a pond gazebo. Acquired in 1967, Poe Hollow has been a beloved area for community events including environmental education programs, reunions, weddings, portraits, and school trips.
