From The Campground
Sandy Hollow Recreation Area and Campground is managed by the Sioux County Conservation Board. The campground has 37 camping spots with electrical hookups, nine full hookup spots, and two spots with water and electric. There are four water hydrants placed around the campground and a sewer dump station. The campground also offers amenities such as a BB gun range, bird watching, boat ramp, geocaching, hiking, horseshoes, indoor archery range, open air picnic shelters, outdoor archery range, playground equipment, sand volleyball, Sandy Hollow Clubhouse Facility, swimming beach, and watercraft rental. The campground's two ponds have been stocked with catfish, big mouth bass, blue gills, walleye, and crappie. The bike trail spans three miles to Sioux Center. The Sandy Hollow Campground is run on a first-come, first-served basis. Three sites are available via online reservation.
