This campground is a hidden gem nestled in the woods and near two lakes. It has a variety of sites, from full hookups with electric and water to primitive sites for tents. Prices are reasonable, ranging from $16 for electricity only to $22 for full hookups. The bathrooms and showers need updating and a good scrubbing, but they remain clean even on busy holiday weekends. The beach and lake are not as crowded as other parks, and there is no fee to enter or use the beach. The lake has a 10 hp limit on boat motors, but the adjacent lake has no limit. The sites are mostly level and have lots of shade, and there is good spacing between sites. There is a bot doeck and boat rentals available at the beach, and a beautiful trail along the lake. The turnarounds are tight, so big rigs may have difficulty navigating them. The park is a great place to fish with small children, and there is a well maintained beach area.
