Briggs Woods Park and Golf Course is a 550-acre park located in Hamilton County, Iowa. The park offers 82 camping sites, including full hook-up, water and electric, electric, and tent sites. The park also features a 70-acre lake for swimming, fishing, and boating with electric motor only. There are numerous walking and hiking trails throughout the rugged timber and prairie remnants in the park, as well as a 10-foot wide concrete multi-recreational trail designed for easy access. Canoes and kayaks are available for rent. The park also has an 18-hole golf course with a clubhouse and pro shop. The park offers various events throughout the year, including workshops, hikes, and birding events. Pets must be on a leash, no longer than 6 feet, at all times. Cabins are available for rent all year long, but pets are not allowed in cabins or shelters. The park is open from 5:00 am to 10:30 pm, and camping check-in is at 2:00 pm, but campers may arrive at any time. The campground has a no refund policy, but campers have one opportunity to reschedule. The park is conveniently located with easy access to all parts of Hamilton County as well as adjacent counties.
