It is known as the “Crown Jewel” of Kansas fisheries and offers a variety of fish species including walleye, channel catfish, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, crappie, white bass, and wipers. The lake is open for public fishing and offers camping, hunting, and water sports activities. The Wolf Creek Dwight D. Eisenhower Environmental Education Area is nearby and offers scenic nature trails.
