What others are saying about this campground
Big Hill Lake Campground is a beautiful Army Corp of Engineers campground located on the edge of the Ozarks. The campground is filled with winding, hilly roads and is a great spot for families, with plenty of nearby retail opportunities, a playground, frisbee golf course, Audobon bird watching pavilion, and horse trails. The campsites are widely spaced and long, and about half have sewer outlets. Most sites have plenty of shade and are level, with a fire ring and picnic table. The staff and camp hosts are friendly and helpful, and the bathrooms are clean. The campground can fill up quickly on weekends, so its best to make reservations months in advance if it includes weekends. Senior Pass holders get a discounted rate of $12 daily. There is good Verizon voice and data reception, although DishTV satellite reception may be limited due to the trees. The town is about 5 miles away, with a couple of restaurants and a nice grocery store.
