Ritchie Cove Campground is a beautiful, clean campground located on a lake with lots of mature shade trees, swim beach access, and a boat ramp. It offers paved sites with water and electric hookup, charcoal swiveling grills, covered picnic tables, fire pits, vault toilets, and a dump station. The campground is divided into two loops with several waterside campsites and picnic shelters alongside each. There is also a day use swimming beach and a boat ramp. The sites are huge and many back right up to the lake, and some even back up to a beach area separate from the swimming beach. There is a friendly gate attendant and Council Grove is just down the road. The campground layout can be confusing, so signage is needed for directing visitors to sites. It is also important to note that there are lots of tiny ticks, so visitors should be prepared if they go on a walk.
