Ellis Lakeside Campground is a great city-run RV park located in the town center of Ellis, Kansas. It is conveniently located off I-70 and offers 12 spots with electric, water, and great WIFI. The sites are on a lake that is filled with geese and ducks, and offer pull through sites on gravel (under shade trees) or concrete pads (full sun). The campground is open year-round and offers 30/50 amp and dump station, but no water in winter or restrooms, or showers. The campground is first come, first serve, and people who arent camping can use the Bathhouse. The local police patrol the campground and will stop by to let campers know of impending danger. There are tall trees and it is right next to the lake, offering a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. The campground is also close to a local market and Super Wal-Mart. It is a great place to stay while passing through Kansas, and offers a great no frills stop.
