GenieSummary

Whitehall Bay Campground is a great place to get away from it all. Located 9 miles off the main highway, the campground is tucked away in a beautiful area with a stunning view of the water. The campsites are spacious with trees and the loop is great for walking the dog. The campground has electric only, no water, so its important to travel with a full tank. You can reserve a spot on recreation.gov and with a senior national park pass, the site is only $8.50. The campground is nearly empty on weekdays, but it may fill up on the weekends due to its proximity to Wichita. The bridge does not support big rigs, so its important to call the project office for directions. There is no over the air TV available, but satellite reception is possible. The restrooms and showers are clean, and the camp hosts are friendly and helpful. The area is great for peace, quiet, and bird watching.
