The campground is located in a city park and is a great place for a family to come and enjoy some time outdoors. It has lots of hiking trails and a variety of activities to do such as fishing, campfires, and more. The sites have electric hookups and water, but no dump station. The bathrooms are porta-potties, and the electric hookups are primitive consisting of only a 3x5 box containing a single 30 amp socket with no breakers. The campground is quiet and secluded, but there is lots of loud traffic cruising by all evening and late into the night. The sites are five dollars for tents and $10 for RVs with electric.

Gunn Park is a beautiful campground located in Fort Scott, Kansas. The campground offers 14-day maximum stay for $20 per night. The park features bike trails, camping sites, disc golf, electricity, fishing, grills, picnic areas, picnic shelters, picnic tables, playground, restrooms, trails, and water. Fishing permits are available at Walmart for $5 for ages 16-64, while boating permits are available at City Hall and Woodland Golf Course for $25 for 25+ hp, $15 for 0-24 hp, and $6 for a rowboat. A 2-day temporary boating permit is also available for $10 for 25+ hp and $5 for 0-24 hp.
