From The Campground

Veterans Memorial Park is a beautiful park located in Garnett, Kansas. The park features Crystal Lake, a body of water comprised of 14 surface acres, 80 acre feet, which serves as a cooling water source for the Garnett Municipal Power Plant and is also home to the water treatment facility. The park offers camping facilities and fishing opportunities for game fish such as Walleye, Wiper, Channel Catfish, Flathead Catfish, Bluegill, Bullhead, White Bass, Green Sunfish, White Crappie, Black Crappie, Black Buffalo, Red-ear Sunfish, Large mouth Bass and Rainbow Trout. The park also has shelter houses, a playground, and a walking bridge.
