Elk City State Park is a beautiful park located in southeast Kansas with a serene lake setting. There are plenty of activities to enjoy, including hiking, fishing, bird watching, boating, and more. There are two loops of campgrounds, Comfort Cove and the waterfront loop, both of which offer full hookups and plenty of shaded sites. The park offers a playground, basketball court, tether ball, horseshoes, volleyball, and a swimming beach. There is also a boat launch area, laundry facilities, showers, modern restrooms, and fish cleaning stations. The park has a 15 mph speed limit, but no free wifi or TV cable. The check-in process is easy and the staff is friendly. The only downside is that you must pay an additional $5.00 per day for your vehicle. Overall, Elk City State Park is a great place to enjoy nature and spend time with family and friends.
