From The Campground

Lone Star Lake Park is a campground located approximately 10 miles southwest of the City of Lawrence. The lake was built in the early 1930's by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). The park offers campsites, restrooms with showers, a playground, a swimming beach, fishing, boating, water skiing, shelter areas, and a community building for rent. Campsites are available on a 'first come first serve' basis. No advance reservations may be made. Please contact the Camp Host upon arrival.
