We camped in Loop B and the sites were level and had 50 amp service. The campground has a boat ramp, beach, playground, and a fishing dock. The campground is well maintained and the staff is friendly. Melvern Reservoir is a beautiful, well-maintained campground located near Melvern, KS. It offers full service sites with 50 amp electric, water, and sewer hookups, as well as a laundromat at each shower house. The campground is surrounded by nature trails, perfect for exploring the local wildlife and foliage. It also features a playground, fishing dock, and beach, making it a great spot for a family vacation. Rates are very reasonable, with discounts available for seniors. The campground is kept clean and quiet, with virtually no road noise, and a regular law enforcement ranger presence. There are some drawbacks, however, such as narrow roads, limited shade, and a strong wind that can make outdoor activities difficult. Despite these drawbacks, Melvern Reservoir is a great campground for a peaceful and relaxing stay.
