This campground is located conveniently near Liberal, Kansas and is the perfect spot for a quick overnight stay or a few days of camping. The sites are all gravel and back-in, making it easy to park and unload. The campground is a bit dusty, but overall it is quiet and peaceful. The bath house is older but clean, with good water pressure and temperature in the showers. Payment can be made during office hours or left in the drop box on the north side of the Event Center. There is a silver box on a small pole near the building to drop your payment in. Sewer hookup is an additional $15, which may seem a bit high compared to other city parks. There are some small shade trees at the back of each site, big enough to sit in a chair under. Walmart Neighborhood Market and associated fuel station across the street are no longer open. The Walmart across the street looks permanently closed. There are some 30 amp service sites with water, but none of them offer sewer. The Land of Oz museum is a must-see, and the tour is worth the price.
