Cottonwood Point Campground is a great spot for a peaceful getaway. Located on Marion Reservoir, the campground offers a variety of amenities, including electric hookups, covered picnic tables, grills, a cleaning station, fire rings, a swimming area with life jackets, showers, a playground, boat docks, day use areas, and basketball courts. There is also a store with bait, wood, and other necessities. The sites are flat and shady, and many have great lake views. The roads are paved and sites are gravel, and all of the hookups sit on a concrete pad. The campground is also patrolled by a sheriffs patrol car for added security. There is a Golden Age Passport 50% discount, but no sewer hookups. Verizon cell card and phones work well, and satellite signal can be obtained with some difficulty. It is quiet during the week but fills up on weekends.
