Barber State Fishing Lake is a 113-acre area located in Barber County, Kansas. The lake was constructed in 1955 and consists of an upper lake of 26 acres and a lower lake of 51 acres. The area is popular for fishing, with populations of largemouth bass, channel catfish, walley, crappie, bluegill, and carp. The northern 80 acres of the area are open to public hunting, with species available including deer, turkey, quail, dove, waterfowl, and cottontail rabbit. A large furbearer population can also be found on the area. The facilities include picnic shelters, boat ramps, fishing docks, and pit toilets. There is also a nature trail for walking.
