Shady Acres is an RV campground with 15 graveled spots, each with a fire ring and picnic table. It is located near Hillsdale Lake, a great spot for swimming and boating, and a convenient store and fuel station a quarter mile away. The grounds are professionally landscaped with four decorative ponds, young trees, green grass, and erosion control engineering. There is a bath/shower house that doubles as a storm shelter, as well as a community picnic shelter. The owners, Aaron and Cindy Bien, are great people and the campground is gated at night. The sites are spacious and level, with thick pebble-sized gravel, and there is a laundry facility. There is no cable, but OTA television is available, as well as Verizon service. There are railroad tracks nearby, but the road is not heavily traveled at night. There are few trees providing shade and no playground or swimming pool, so this may not be the best place for kids. However, it is a great spot for RVers looking for a peaceful, well-maintained place to stay.

Shady Acres is a year-round RV park located in Paola, Kansas. The park features a large picnic shelter, free WIFI, a gated community with security cameras, a bathhouse that doubles as a storm shelter, and laundry facilities. Each campsite includes a private picnic table, firepit, electrical, water, and sewer hookups. Our goal is to spread happiness, one camper at a time.
