Phillipsburg City Park is a small campground located on the way east. It offers 30 amp electric and water at sites, with 5 sites having gravel and the others having dirt. It is a first come first serve campground, and while the fort is closed on Labor Day, there is a big playground for kids and a few other park activities. The restrooms are clean and modern, but the electrical power is not working at most of the sites and the bathrooms are padlocked shut. The water does flow from the few pipes left standing, and the sites are easy to straight back into. It is a quiet campground and for $10 you get water, 30 amp and a dump station. The park needs some love, but for an overnight stay it is great.
