From The Campground

Kanopolis State Park is the first state park in Kansas, located in the scenic Smoky Hills region of the state. The park offers rugged beauty and stunning vistas, with more than 30 miles of trails open to hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders. The 3,500-acre lake and 12,500-acre wildlife area provide abundant fishing and hunting opportunities. The park also manages nearby Mushroom Rock State Park, a picnic area with unusual geologic formations. Kanopolis State Park offers six one-bedroom cabins available to rent year-round, each sleeping five to six people and featuring a full kitchen. The park also has several campgrounds with a variety of amenities.
