It is a large park with 140 utility sites spread out over 7 campgrounds, offering a variety of camping experiences from primitive sites to full hookups. The staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming and the park is regularly patrolled, making it a safe and secure place to stay. The park offers a range of amenities including a lake, beaches, hiking trails, boat ramps, a marina, playgrounds, and a disc golf course. There are several primitive campsites throughout the park, with some sites offering 50 amp service, a frost free hydrant, and sewer hookup. Other sites offer 30amp and water only. The roads are paved, leading to gravel sites and most sites are generally level and wide enough for an awning or slide-outs. The park is also close to the Flint Hills Nature Trail, a 120 mile crushed limestone rail trail that passes through some beautiful farms, marshes and forest. With its stunning natural surroundings, great amenities, and friendly staff, Pomona State Park is the perfect place for an overnight stay or longer term camping trip.

The park offers a rural atmosphere and shady campsites, and is known for its scenic beauty and abundance of wildlife. Visitors can enjoy a variety of recreational activities, including camping, picnicking, fishing, boating, hiking, and wildlife viewing. The park also offers four ADA accessible modern cabins available for reservation year-round, offering a variety of comfortable accommodations and a great view of Pomona Lake.
