Lago Linda near Beattyville, Ky is a great campground for individuals, friends, and families. It is located in the Red River Gorge Area of Daniel Boone National Forest and hosts the annual Whippoorwill Earth Skills Festival. The area has cabins, tent camping, and RV sites with electric hookup, picnic tables, and fire rings. The showers are not pay by the minute and the water is hot. The RV sites are a little tight in the trees and may not accommodate larger vehicles, but there is a field area for larger RVs with no shade. Natural Bridge State Park and several adventure-based businesses are nearby. The access road is essentially a driveway and the campsites are tight. The trails have not been cleared since last winter, so some bushwhacking may be necessary. The host is very nice and offered to move me to a warmer spot when it started to snow. Overall, it is a great place to stay for those looking to explore the area.
