Walnut Meadows Campground is a basic, no-frills campground located close to I-75 and the town of Berea, South Carolina. It is a great stopover for travelers, with large pull-through sites, 50 amp service, and water and sewer hookups. The park is owned and operated by a Christian family, and the staff is friendly and helpful. There are no fancy amenities, such as a pool or pond, but there is a large trash bin at the entrance. The roads on the property are a bit rough, but the gravel drive-thru sites are solid and make for easy leveling. There are a few seasonal camping units, and the ones that are there are mostly clean and neat. There is no individual dump station on the sites, but there is one available to use on your way in or out. The park is great for an overnight stay or longer if you dont require fancy amenities. The voltage is excellent, as is the water pressure, and the host is very polite and wears a mask during the check-in process. There is no water available to rinse hoses, and all the buildings are rather run down. The park is close to Walmart and several restaurants, and the owner will meet you in a golf cart to lead you to your site.
