This campground is a beautiful spot nestled in the rolling hills of Kentucky, close to the Dale Hollow State Park Lodge and marina. It offers large, open areas with tall trees and plenty of amenities, including a campground store, a marina with boat rentals, a lodge with restaurant, a golf course, and a swimming hole east of the marina next to a boat ramp. The sites are set in circles and are well spaced, but some may require two hoses for water access. Most sites have full hookups, a picnic table, fire ring, lantern hook, asphalt pad, and cement patio, and some may require some levelling. The staff is friendly and the grounds are kept clean and well maintained. The campground is popular for water sports, so there may be a lot of boats and jet skis. The campground also accommodates horses, though none were seen during the visit. The closest town is an hour away, with a very narrow and winding road to get to the park. It is a great spot for a peaceful getaway, and a great place to start a road trip through the US.

Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park offers a variety of activities for visitors to enjoy. Golf enthusiasts can challenge themselves on the hilly terrain of the park's golf course, which features a fully equipped pro shop and driving range. Hikers, horseback riders, and mountain bikers can explore over 15 miles of multi-purpose trails that wind through the park's scenic ridges and peninsulas. Families can enjoy a round of nautical-themed mini golf or a picnic at one of the park's many grilling areas and playgrounds. Swimming is available at both the outdoor lodge pool and the community pool inside the campground. The park also offers a motorcycle ride trail and opportunities for camping and primitive cabin rentals.
