There are two camping options: RV friendly sites with utility hookups, tables, fire rings, and grills, and log cabins. The park also has a central shower, toilets, and laundry area, a playground, mini golf course, snack stand, and picnic tables scattered around. There is also a snack bar with burgers, ice cream, and other food items. The park is dog friendly and has a walking trail with great river views and interesting signs that narrate the Civil War history. The sites are large and easy to back into, and some have views of the river and boat traffic. The park is very peaceful and is a great spot to get away from it all.

From The Campground

Columbus-Belmont State Park is a beautiful campground overlooking the Mississippi River. Visitors can hike the trails running through the Civil War earthworks, see the massive anchor and chain that was strategically stretched across the Mississippi during the Civil War, and visit the Civil War Museum that was once used as a civil war hospital. The park offers 38 sites with utility hookups and grills, rest rooms, showers, and laundry facilities. Pets are allowed if restrained. Two rental camping trailers and a log cabin are also available. The park's contemporary meeting facility blends into the surrounding forestland with its two meeting rooms. The largest of the meeting rooms is 2,400 square feet and can seat up to 180 people in a classroom style of seating. The smaller of the two rooms is 520 square feet and will comfortably seat 32 people in banquet style set-up. Shelters are available for rental from April 1 to October 31. Conference center open year-round for rental.
