Laurel Lake Camping Resort is a great spot for family camping during peak season! Though, during the slow season, there might not be as many amenities open as one would like. While the gravel sites are being replenished, there is still plenty of space to park and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The swimming lake is a nice spot to relax and the lifeguard on duty provides a sense of safety. The bathroom facilities are clean and stocked, and the separate showers are spacious with plenty of hot water available. There are also other activities available, such as horseshoes, basketball, and bounce houses. Though, it should be noted that harmless watersnakes are common along the quiet parts of the lake. Overall, Laurel Lake Camping Resort is a lovely park with nice amenities, making for a peaceful camping experience away from the city.
