Dog Creek Campground is a well-maintained and organized place to camp. The campground is located on Nolin River Lake, so around one-fourth of the sites have a view of the waterfront. There are no hiking trails, but the campground offers a beach, playground, boat ramp, and some limited outdoor activities to do. The sites are spacious, level, and come equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and lantern hooks. Most sites have water and electric hookups, but there are limited full hookup sites. The campground also has an honor system shed to purchase some supplies. The retired volunteer staff is nice and friendly and warns campers of the leash laws given that it is a dry campus. The campground is conveniently close to Mammoth Cave without having to camp there and is a great place to stay!
