This campground is the perfect place for a one night stay and a show. Located on the Pioneer Playhouse property, the campground has 35 sites with electric (30 amp) and water, gravel/grass pads, shower facilities and bathrooms, and a rustic dump station. It is close to the Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill and the town of Danville, where you can find supplies and dining. The campground has many long term tenants, but if you can snag a spot you will be rewarded with a peaceful evening. The pull-through sites have concrete picnic tables on each side and large branches hanging over the top. They are fairly level, but there isnt one that is suitable for large rigs. There is a community dump station, but Wi-Fi is weak and Verizon Air Card works slowly. The campground is offered for the convenience of the theatre patrons and is a great value at $15.

From The Campground
Pioneer Playhouse is an outdoor amphitheater located in Danville, KY. They offer live shows and performances during the season. The seating capacity has been reduced to promote social distancing. In case of rain, shows may be delayed or paused, and if canceled, tickets will be stamped as rain checks and can be redeemed for any performance during the season. Umbrellas and ponchos are available for purchase in the gift shop. The Playhouse is located 30 miles from Lexington and 80 miles from Louisville.
