Still Waters is a beautiful campground located at the mouth of the Elkhorn Creek and Kentucky River. It is a popular spot for locals who want to tube float down the creek to the Kentucky River, a 3-4 hour trip. The campground is well-maintained, with plenty of trees and shade, and a well-manicured lawn. On weekends, campers can be found playing corn hole and karaoke. There are various types of camping sites, including primitive, water and electric, and full hookup. Daily, weekly, weekend, seasonal, and monthly rates are available. The public restrooms have no heat and are closed when the weather gets cold. Verizon and Visible cell phone users have service, and there is a hiking trail to the top of a nearby mountain. The campground is surrounded by a loop of the Kentucky River or Elkhorn Creek, providing a natural lazy river experience. There are both back in and pull thru sites, and a dump station is located next to a barn in the front. The campground also has a laundry room, frisbee golf, fishing, hiking, volleyball, and canoe rentals available at the concession. It is close enough to access all the sightseeing available in the area.
