GenieSummary
Canal Campground is a great spot for a lakeside getaway. Located at the north end of the Land Between the Lakes, the campground is nestled in a wooded area with some open areas for those who need satellite dishes. The campground offers a variety of sites, from pull-thrus in the Fisherman’s Loop to back-ins in the Browns Point Loop which offer expansive views of the water. There are also sites in the Flats, a concrete area, and the Canal View Loop which has wider roads and pull-thrus. All sites come with a picnic table and fire ring and some have full hookups. The campground also has a boat ramp, bathrooms, and showers. The only downside is that there is no laundry facility or place for pets to run off-leash. There are also no OTA channels, but cell service is good enough to do some streaming. The campground is close to the local IGA and Paddy’s for convenience. Be sure to be honest about the size of your rig when reserving, as the sites are the length stated with no wiggle room. There are also some pesky mayflies around the docks in the Fisherman’s Loop. Overall, Canal Campground is a great spot for a lakeside getaway.
