Chimney Rock Campground is a beautiful park located on the cliffs of Lake Harrington in Kentucky. It is mostly seasonal campers, but there are a few spots available for short-term visitors. The sites are terraced and wide, with lots of room for slideouts, but they can be a bit short for rigs over 25 feet. The campground is well maintained and clean, and the manager is very helpful. The amenities include a gazebo with table and chairs, a fire pit, a playground for the kids, a pool, a pavilion with internet, and a marina with a cafe. The marina charges for launching kayaks and canoes as well as power boats. There is also a laundry with two washers and two dryers, and a clothesline for use. The park hosts community get-togethers almost every Saturday night, such as Bingo or other games. Cell phone service is spotty due to the mountains, but the TV reception and internet are good. The owners are adding stronger Wi-Fi and cable TV for next year. There is no designated area for dogs to run/play, but visitors are able to walk their dogs daily without any issues.
