The sites were fairly level, but there were a few that had a slight grade. The bathrooms were clean and there was a nice laundry facility. The campground was well maintained and the staff was friendly. We would definitely come back and stay here again. Lake Cumberland State Resort Park is a large, family-friendly campground located in Jamestown, Kentucky. Easily accessible and close to the Daniel Boone National Forest, the park offers a variety of amenities, including a marina, lodge, restaurant, golf course, pool, and trails. The campground has three separate areas, all wooded and modern, with typical state park amenities. The sites are simple and not secluded, making them better for RV campers than tent camping. The lodge offers great views of the lake from the rooms and overlook. The on-site restaurant is quite fancy and the country store offers a small selection of food items. There is a mini golf course and plenty of wildlife. The fire rings need to be cleaned out and the electric and water hookups are laid out poorly, so its important to bring an extra cord. The staff is friendly and the campground is well maintained. Horseback riding and other activities are available, making it a great destination for families with all ages.

With more than 52,000 acres of water and 1,225 miles of shoreline, Lake Cumberland is considered one of the finest fishing and boating areas in the Eastern United States. Perched high above the watery expanse, the park offers visitors a wide array of recreational opportunities, from tennis to trails. Plenty to do at Lake Cumberland State Resort Park both on and off the lake.
