Moutardier Campground on Nolin River Lake is a beautiful and peaceful campground run by the Army Corps of Engineers. It offers electric and water hookups, fire pits, picnic tables, filet tables, bathrooms, showers, and a playground. The campground is located on a lake, so there are plenty of opportunities for boating, swimming, and fishing. There are boat ramps, a marina to rent boats, and a two-mile hiking trail. Pets are welcomed and there is cell service (Verizon). For $25 a night, this is an excellent value. There is a restaurant nearby and the campground is close to Mammoth Caves. The sites are level, gravel sites with views of the lake and the campground is family friendly and offers Halloween fun. The interior roads are tight and winding and the bathrooms and plumbing need some updating.
