The campground is convenient to several stores and the towns of Glasgow, Scottsville, and Bowling Green, KY. It offers excellent fishing and boating, as well as great wildlife viewing opportunities. There are plenty of drive-through sites, making it easy to park, and the beach is beautiful. The restrooms are spotless and dont smell, but can get stuffy when its hot out. The staff is friendly and helpful, and there are plenty of activities to keep you busy, including a golf course, hiking trails, and a Scottish sports field. There are no helpful signs, minimal lighting, no wifi, and no staff on site for things that dont work, so be sure to plan accordingly. The campground also offers access to a marina and beach, as well as a laundry facility and ice and firewood for purchase. Overall, Barren River State Resort Park is a great place to stay for a family vacation, with plenty of activities and amenities to keep you entertained.

Barren River Lake State Resort Park is a beautiful park located in Lucas, KY. The park offers a variety of activities including boating, fishing, golfing, hiking, swimming, and more. Guests can choose to stay in the Louie B. Nunn Lodge, which overlooks the 10,000 acre lake, or in one of the park's cabins or villas. The campground has 101 sites with utility hookups available. The Driftwood Restaurant offers gorgeous lakeside scenery and serves local meats and produce when available. The park also has event, meeting, and private party spaces available.
