Mammoth Cave Campground is an ideal spot for RV and tent camping. It is conveniently located close to the visitor’s center and trailhead for Mammoth Cave tours. The sites are well spread out and most provide a scenic backdrop of forest. Bathrooms and showers are clean and well-maintained with adequate hot water. Generators are allowed from 8 am to 8 pm, and the campground store sells compressed sawdust logs for fires. Keep in mind that most sites are pull-through, so if you have a camper, you may need to back up to your site if its on the left. Overall, it is a great place to camp for those planning to explore Mammoth Cave National Park.
