Mammoth Cave National Park is home to thousands of years of human history and a rich diversity of plant and animal life, earning it the title of UNESCO World Heritage Site and International Biosphere Reserve. The park offers three campgrounds and over 13 backcountry sites for camping, as well as hiking, biking, horseback riding, canoeing, kayaking, and boating on over 52,000 acres in south central Kentucky. Fishing is also available in the park's rivers. The park is accessible and offers ranger-led programs and audio tours of Mammoth Cave.
