North Fork Recreation Area at Rough River Lake is a great place for camping and outdoor activities. It features a boat ramp with two ramps, a large beach with a shaded picnic area and pavilion, and a well-maintained campground with double-wide sites to accommodate both campers and boats. The campground is clean and quiet, and the sites have a paved pad and gravel skirt. Electric Loops C, D, and E are tightly spaced, and the sites have a picnic table, food pole, utility table, and fire pit. Unfortunately, the park can get noisy and crowded on weekends, and the dump station is difficult to access. Additionally, the electric service on some sites can be unreliable. Despite these drawbacks, North Fork Recreation Area offers stunning scenery, plenty of activities, and a chance to see the stars at night.

North Fork CE is a campground located in Mc Daniels, KY. It offers tent and RV camping, fishing, boat launch, beach, hot/cold showers & flush restrooms, playground, and a handicapped fishing pier. The campground has 106 improved sites and one handicapped accessible site available. Pets are accepted, but alcohol and ATV's are not allowed. The price range is $16 to $19 per night, and credit cards are accepted.
