Renfro Valley RV Park is a campground in Mt Vernon, KY. It has a convenient location and easy access upon arrival. The campground could benefit from some improvement as there are no picnic tables or grills at most campsites and the grounds have many trashes scattered. There are few trees for shade, and many campsites are out in the open. The registration office needs clear labeling, and although there is some pattern to the prices of the sites, it is not consistent. The absence of security makes walking at night unsafe. The campground lacks family amenities and is not ideal for kids. Nearby, visitors can find several eateries, like Back Porch, Mexican Restaurant, and Limestone Grill. A DG store is available for forgotten items, but Walmart and Lowes are half an hour away. The campgrounds overall conditions are sub-par, but visitors willing to pay a more are better off at the KOA. For a more extended stay, its better to keep hunting.
