Carter Caves State Park is the perfect destination for outdoor enthusiasts looking for a wide variety of activities. From fishing and horseback riding to exploring caves and swimming in the pool, theres something for everyone. The campsites are spacious and well-maintained, with plenty of amenities like toilets and camp stores. The trails, waterfalls, rock formations, and water are breathtaking and perfect for exploring. The campground is bustling during the day but quiets down nicely at sunset. Primitive campsites are available, as well as full hookup sites with sewer, electric, and water. There are also plenty of activities such as guided cave tours, kayak rentals, ranger talks, and more. The shower and bathhouse are clean, though they could use some updating. The access roads are narrow and have steep grades, but the park is well-marked and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
