Guist Creek Marina & Campground is the perfect place for a secluded camping experience. Located just across the gravel road from RV and trailer campers, the row of tent sites are backed up to a fence line and provide plenty of shade from the trees. The campground is close to a Rural King store and other retail businesses, less than 5 miles away, and is surrounded by a beautiful area with a river view and valley overlooking stunning sunsets. There are both wooded and open concept sites with picnic tables and fireplaces in good condition. The campground also has a marina with a store for wood, ice, food, and coffee, as well as a restaurant. The campground has full hookups for RVs and pull thru sites, but no sewer hookup. The camp hosts are knowledgeable, helpful, and kind, and check-in service is quick. The campground is peaceful, quiet, and pretty, although it can get busy in the summer with boaters. The interior road is narrow with speed bumps, but big rigs can get in. Sites are spacious and close to a playground, and the showers, restrooms, and hot water are clean. The price is reasonable at $22/night, and the friendly Kentucky people make the experience even better.
From The Campground
Guist Creek Lake is the county’s largest lake and one of its best kept secrets. In a serene, rural part of the county, deer, turkey, and other wildlife are seen frequently near the water. Our campground is available from March 1st through November for primitive or pull-through RV camping. There is also a marina with a boat launching ramp and a well-stocked supply shop.
