GenieSummary
This campground is located in the beautiful Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area, offering breathtaking views and plenty of hiking trails. It is a small campground, making it less crowded and busy, and each site has plenty of room to relax and enjoy the wilderness. Sites come with water, electric, fire pit, and picnic table, and the dump station is close by. The campground host is very friendly and helpful. There is a trailhead to the Blue Heron loop (6.4mi) at the beginning of the campground, as well as other nearby places of interest. Unfortunately, there is no water hose connection at the dump station, so visitors must be prepared for additional work and extended dump time. The shower house could use a makeover, and the water handle at the sites may need to be held in the on position with a bungee cord or zip tie. The roads leaving the campground are windy and narrow, so larger rigs should take their time. This is a great place to stay for a peaceful and quiet camping experience, and is a great value at $17/night.
