Big Bone Lick State Historic Site is a unique park in Kentucky that offers visitors a chance to explore the prehistoric past of the region. The park is home to a bison herd, and visitors can tour the museum and diorama pit to learn about the Ice Age mammals that once roamed the area. The park also features orienteering courses, hiking trails, a swimming pool, and playgrounds. The spacious campground has 62 campsites with utility hookups, grills, and laundry facilities.
