Natalbany Creek is a roomy campground located just east of Amite, about 50 miles north of New Orleans. The campground offers a variety of amenities, including a lake for catch and release fishing, an arcade, a small store in the main building, large sites with paved pads and patios, a picnic table, and a fire ring. The managers are in the process of sprucing up the park with landscaping and activities such as miniature golf and a playground. Unfortunately, the park is not well-maintained, as there are dead bugs in and around the bathroom and laundry room, no toilet paper, no seats in the shower, and the rubber seal around the doors has not been cleaned in a long time. Additionally, the water pressure is low and the grass is not cut. Despite these issues, the campground offers a nice backdrop to a woodsy area and a huge lake, making it a great spot for a quick weekend trip away.
