This campground is a great spot for those looking for a peaceful and quiet getaway. Located in the heart of Cajun country, the campground is situated on the banks of the Bayou La Rose and offers 17 sites with full hookups. The sites are level and nicely spaced, and all have access to the river. There is a fishing dock, boat ramp, and playground for kids. The restroom with showers is co-ed and very clean. The roads are narrow but wide enough for larger rigs, and there is a low clearance bridge with a 9.5 ton limit. The campground is immaculate and the caretaker is friendly and helpful. The fee is only $10 a night for seniors, and the park manager comes by each morning to collect the fee. This is a great spot to overnight while traveling on I-10, and is worth making an extended stopover.
