Poche Plantation RV Resort Cottage is a gem located in Convent, Louisiana, right between New Orleans and Baton Rouge, in the heart of historic plantation country along the Mississippi River. The campground is on the grounds of the plantation house of Judge Poche, built in 1830. The campground has many amenities such as a pool and hot tub, a game room, and more. You can even take a guided tour of the mansion and the historic 250-year-old church, which are both breathtaking. The park is across the road from the river, making it ideal for taking a walk along the levee and watching the ocean-going cargo ships being unloaded and the barges moving along the river. The seasonal RVers are friendly and make you feel at home. The price is reasonable for a months stay, and there is a restaurant, post office, and laundry on site. Overall, this is a beautiful and tranquil place to camp with all modern hook-ups, exceptionally clean, landscaped, and with plenty of amenities to enjoy.

Poche Plantation Cajun Country B&B and Camping RV Resort is a historic site located in Convent, Louisiana, between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. The facility offers over 1600 feet of white picket fence with 13 large capped columns fronting scenic river road which follows along the banks of the Mississippi River. The resort offers B&B accommodations and RV hookups and pads. Guests can relax on the front porch swings, surrounded by double Victorian columns, soak in the cool breezes offered by the great Mississippi River, cool off in the New Orleans French quarter style pool or enjoy the variety of offerings in the recreation room. The resort is surrounded by great Cajun restaurants and many attractions. Poche Plantation hosts several events year-round and offers accredited overnight B&B accommodations and RV hookups and pads. The facility can be rented for private functions upon request. Stir and Dine Wednesdays is a weekly event where guests can enjoy Cajun Jambalaya Night. The Annual Grave Yard Tours every fall where guests can experience not just the historic buildings but dozens of actors who act out the lives of historic figures buried within the historic above ground graves. The Annual Bonfire Festival takes place along the Mississippi River every year to guide Saint Nick on Christmas Eve. Over 120 structures are set ablaze simultaneously along the peaks of the levees overlooking the great Mississippi river. Festival/Food/Music for the entire family weeks prior to the event. Civil War buffs will enjoy the stories of Judge Felix Poche during and after the Civil War.
