This campground is a great place for a weekend getaway or an overnight stay. It offers a variety of camping options, including pull through full hook up sites, tent sites with water and electricity, and RV sites. The rate is very affordable and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The bathrooms are in need of some attention, however, as they have black mold, missing lights, and peeling paint. The campground is clean and quiet, and the sites are almost level. There is a large wooded area for walking, and a well maintained beach and lakefront with a marina, fishing pier, and pavilion. There is also a general store on the premises that serves great lunches during the busy season. Red River Drug Store and Nichols Sporting Goods in Coushatta are also nearby and offer unique goods. Fishing is available on the lake or 5 miles away on pool 4 of the Red River.

Grand Bayou Resort is a 2,800-acre outdoor haven located in Coushatta, Louisiana. It offers a variety of outdoor entertainment options, including camping, boating, fishing, and hiking. The resort features lodges, cabins, and RV sites, a 2,700-acre reservoir, tubing and skiing areas, a 7,600 sq. ft. partially covered concrete pier, a marina, a white sand beach and swimming area with bathhouses and beach cabanas, a lighted boat launch, a covered pavilion, and an events center for family reunions, weddings, and corporate functions. The resort is a perfect place for a quiet, secluded getaway or a place to feel the rush of excitement in the water.
