Land O Pines is a family-friendly campground with plenty of activities to keep children and adults of all ages entertained. There is a pool, mini golf, waterslide, playground, fishing, and more. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. Unfortunately, the pool closed unexpectedly on the weekend and the roads are gravel with holes in them. Additionally, the sewer system is not up to date and cannot hold the content of trailer holding tanks. There was also an incident where 20 people rented the site directly behind the campground to build a fire and party all night. The management is strict about cancellations and will not give refunds, but will offer a rain check for a future date. The wifi connection is good and the creek behind the campground offers white sandy beaches. Crossing the Lake Ponchartrain Causeway Bridge back to New Orleans is $12.00.
